The weather was unkind with light showers throughout most of play during the ladies Kloster BMW Golf Cup International held at Newcastle Golf Club on 27th May.
Approximately 80 ladies teed off in an event which has grown to become one of the most sought after events for amateur golfers. Despite weather conditions our winner’s stableford score was 35 points.
Each year over 120,000 men and women take part in qualifying tournaments and vie for a place to represent their nation in the world final. This years Australian final will be played on the beautiful and challenging Hope Island course on the Gold Coast with the winner going on to represent Australia in the 2003 World Final at the BMW Golf Cup International in Lisbon, Portugal.
